Our story
Why we're building Done & Done
Picture a 20-person distributor outside Toronto. Orders come in by email and phone. Someone types them into a spreadsheet to check stock, then into QuickBooks to invoice, then into a CRM so sales can follow up. Shopify takes the online orders, a payroll provider pays the staff, and once a month the bookkeeper spends days matching it all up.
None of these tools is bad. The trouble is that they don't talk to each other, so people do the talking for them, by re-typing. Every re-typed number is a chance for a mistake, and every mistake turns up later as a stock count that doesn't match the books or an invoice with the wrong tax.
Almost every Canadian small business uses digital tools, but only about one in ten has fully connected them.

The software exists. Getting into it is the hard part.
All-in-one business software has been around for years. Odoo, for example, covers accounting, invoicing, sales, inventory and projects in one system, and its Community edition is open source. Millions of people around the world use it.
So why doesn't every small business switch? Because setting it up properly is real work. Someone has to configure GST, HST, QST and PST for every province you sell into, set up French and English documents, and then move years of history out of QuickBooks without losing a cent. A business with 20 people rarely has an IT person, and the owner already has a full-time job.
What we're building
Done & Done takes that work off your plate. We run Odoo Community for you on Canadian hosting, with the Canadian details already set up, and our team moves your data in. You get one system for the whole back office and a person to call when you need help.
- Set up for Canada once. Sales taxes, both official languages and Canadian hosting are done for every customer, so you don't configure any of it.
- One system instead of five. Sales, accounting, inventory, purchasing, projects and expenses share the same customers, products and numbers.
- We move you in. Your full history comes across from QuickBooks, spreadsheets and your other apps, not only opening balances.
- Type it once. An order flows from sales to stock to invoice to the books without anyone copying it.
Who it's for
We're deliberately narrow. We're building for owner-led Canadian businesses of 5 to 50 people that have outgrown QuickBooks and spreadsheets, starting in Ontario, Quebec and British Columbia. We're talking with wholesalers and distributors, professional services firms and Shopify sellers with stock, and we'll pick the group we can help most.
Staying narrow keeps the product simple, and simple is what makes it fast, reliable and affordable. Every feature has to pass one test: does it make this customer's week easier?
Where we are
We're at the start. Right now we're talking with business owners to learn how their back office really works, and we're looking for a small group of pilot businesses to move first. If that sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you.
